About the role
Job Title: Global Service Lead - Network
Works closely with and have impact on: All Global Functions
Reports to: Director, IT Infrastructure & Operations
Function: Global IT
Work Location/Site: Singapore / Global Headquarters
Role Overview
The individual will be a member of the Global IT Team. The person will be responsible for designing and implementing enterprise network landscapes across IT and OT environments. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in Azure networking, Fortinet and Cisco products. This role requires a proactive individual who can lead team members and drive network projects to successful completion.
Duties and Responsibilities
Strategic
- Maintain and improve the existing enterprise network infrastructure for IT and OT environments at global scale.
- Develop network architecture patterns to ensure highly secure and scalable connectivity across HSO sites and Azure cloud.
- Lead and mentor network engineers and team members.
Operational
- Maintain and operate various networking technologies including:
(i) Global networking including SD-WAN, MPLS, VPN, DNS, Radius, etc.
(ii) Network components such as routers, switches, wireless access points (WAP), SSL VPN.
(iii) Azure networking solutions, including Azure ExpressRoute, VPN, Firewalls, and Network Security Groups (NSG).
(iv) Automation experience (Ansible or Terraform).
(v) Security products such as firewall, IPS, WAF.
- Have L2/3 experience to diagnose and resolve complex network problems, including connectivity issues, performance bottlenecks, hardware failures, etc.
- Lead and coordinate incident resolution across different internal and vendor teams.
- Collaborate with cross-functional IT teams to support network-related projects.
- Collaborate with the security team to develop and enforce network and security policies.
- Develop and maintain network documentation and diagrams.
- Stay updated with the latest networking technologies and best practices.
- Collaborate in regular security assessments to identify vulnerabilities and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations (e.g., CIS, NIST, GDPR).
Requirements
Experience
- Minimum 5 years of work experience is required in managing network operations with at least 2 years in complex enterprise network engineer role; international experience desired.
Skills/Accreditations
- Passion to work for a growing medical technology organization.
- Understanding of data centre architectures, experience in planning, design & implementation of data centre infrastructure.
- Experience in leading team members in global settings.
- Self-motivated with a positive “can-do” attitude, creative with excellent presentation, communication, teamwork and interpersonal skills including strong persuasive techniques.
- Excellent problem-solving, logical thinking skills to isolate and identify potential issues in a complex environment.
- Good communication skills with spoken and written English.
Academic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in information security, computer science, computer engineering, or IT equivalent.
- Professional level certifications core data centre networking (e.g. Cisco), Firewall (e.g. Fortinet), Cloud Provider. (e.g. Azure) and Automation (e.g. Terraform) are preferred.
Travel requirements
10%-15% of time
