Job Description

Works closely with and have impact on: Data Science and Analytics, IT, Finance, Supply Chain, Commercial

Internship Duration: Minimum 16 weeks. Preference will be given to local applicants who will use this internship for academic credit.

Role Overview

The Data Science / Data Analytics Intern will be responsible for supporting the Data Science and Analytics team in solving business problems using advanced analytics. The role includes hands-on experience with real-world data science projects, developing machine learning models, and collaborating with team members on key projects.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Project-based 50%, Operational 30%, Ad hoc work 20%
• Collaborate with people of various level across the organization
• Analyze and interpret complex data sets to identify patterns, trends, and insights
• Develop, test, and deploy new and scalable solutions for various business problems
• Assist in the preparation and presentation of data-driven recommendations to stakeholders
• Continuously learn and apply new techniques and tools to improve the effectiveness of data analytics.

Requirements

Experience and knowledge in:

• Data Analysis Expressions (DAX), Power Query M
• SQL / KQL / T-SQL, Python / PySpark, and Machine learning
• Microsoft Fabric – Data Factory, Data Engineering, Data Warehouse, Data Science, Real-Time Intelligence, Data Activator and Power BI
• Warehouses / Lakehouses, Dataflows / Data pipelines, Semantic models, Exploratory data analysis, and Data Visualization
• Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and programming. Good interpersonal and communication skills.

Relevant project work or internships in data science or analytics advantageous

Academic Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program, in the field of Data Science, Analytics, Computing, Finance, or a related discipline.
• Postgraduates with relevant experience are also welcomed.
