Future-ready announcements at ESCRS 2020: 2-4 October 2020

Every year we really look forward to ESCRS – there’s nowhere like it to hear about launches and advancements that will help the ophthalmic surgery community.

However, this year was a little bitter-sweet. These are challenging times and due to COVID-19 safety measures, the conference couldn’t go ahead physically. This meant we couldn’t meet face to face as we normally would do. But we were still pleased to bring lots of exciting news to the first ever virtual ESCRS.

All of these global uncertainties and obstacles have only driven us here at HOYA Surgical Optics to focus even more on the future and make sure we’re ready to meet tomorrow’s challenges.

So for us, this year’s conference was all about being Future Ready.

Our CEO, John Goltermann Lassen, and VP of Global Marketing, Antonio Gianno, created a special video broadcast especially for our virtual ESCRS booth. In it, they announced HSO’s roadmap for 12 months of advancements. Over the next year, we’re bringing 6 new productsto market; that’s a first in our history.

THE VIVINEX PLATFORM

First, we’re extending our Vivinex™ portfolio. We’re proud to announce that Vivinex™ multiSert™ Toric has received CE mark. Now you can enjoy the additional benefits of multiSert™ on top of the unprecedented rotational stability of Vivinex™ Toric.

In addition to our Monofocal and Monofocal Toric lenses, we will be introducing an Enhanced Monofocal lens as well as a new family of diffractive trifocal IOLs. Expanding this portfolio means you will have a full range of Vivinex IOLs to choose from, meeting more of your patients’ needs than ever before.

THE NANEX PLATFORM

If you attended ESCRS 2019, you may remember that we launched Nanex™ multiSert⁺™, designed for micro incision cataract surgery as low as 1.8 mm. This year, we’re expanding your choice by releasing Nanex™ in a yellow lens alongside the clear lens.

OUR BRAND-NEW BRAND

ESCRS’ next exciting debut was news of ezSert™, which was created to streamline your cataract procedures. As the name suggests, it’s faster and easier than manually loaded systems, to improve efficiency and offer outstanding delivery consistency.

EXPANDING BEYOND IOLS

Though we are and will remain committed to our IOLs business, we proudly introduced our first offering in the equipment space at ESCRS. Qube™ pro powered by eyeflexa™ is a technology pending CE mark that can support both cataract and vitreoretinal surgery. It is a multi-upgradable platform with the flexibility to meet your evolving needs. It’s designed for anterior, posterior and combined surgeries – making it a truly versatile solution.

VALUE ADDED SERVICES

If you’ve never heard of CLEARlog, you’re about to discover an incredibly helpful app to help drive your practice forward. As part of our ESCRS presence, we announced our partnership with CLEARlog.
