Information Technology Support Analyst



Job Description

This role is responsible to understand business requirements in IT Infrastructure and translate to IT solutions by working with internal stakeholders and external vendors to deliver the solution to the business. The person needs to provide IT support and operations in HOYA Surgical Optics.


Key Duties & Responsibilities

  • Provide new employees with IT equipment, setup new accounts setup, and perform the IT onboarding
  • Liaise with users to determine and diagnose the source of users’ IT problems they encounter, and advise clients on possible solutions
  • Support the desktop, server, network, printing, and other enterprise IT related issues. Be the first point of contact for all users in the region for any IT related issues or questions
  • Perform day to day operational deployment, support and administrate existing and new IT infrastructure projects/tasks
  • Perform complex software/hardware troubleshooting, patches, and re-installations in cooperation with external Service providers and in accordance with established SLAs
  • Participate and manage projects for rollout of new hardware/software, office expansions, new offices etc
  • Timely review of IT assets, Office 365, and VPN accounts
  • Collaborate with external vendors on IT server and service maintenance of servers and network equipment
  • Maintenance of systems documentation such as IT operations manuals
  • Monitor security compliance in accordance with Hoya Corporate standards, policies, and procedure
  • Other IT-related duties as assigned



  • Bachelor’s in computer science or Information Technology or Any Diploma with IT background
  • Appropriate certifications as appropriate



  • 3-5 years of experience in IT Support Services
  • Must be able to demonstrate strong understanding of hands-on skills in TCP/IP networking
  • Strong knowledge and skillsets in FTP, NAT, DNS, DHCP, Active Directory, Exchange online, and SharePoint
  • Understand and working experience in implement, understanding authenticate protocol such as SSO, Radius and LDAP
  • Knowledge of IP-VPN and MPLS networks and setup, strong knowledge in proxy server and firewalls
  • Ability to express thoughts and complex IT solution clearly and in a simplified manner to be understood by non-IT users
  • Ability to maintain servers and network equipments
  • Good understanding of vendor management
  • Must have a strong dedication to customer service
  • Team player. The ability to work as a team with other IT people in the Global IT is essential
